About Session
This presentation will go over how Tutoring resources from your Academic Support Program can be utilized to support local high schools. This is a critical need due to high schools not having academic support resources such as tutoring or academic coaching and the growing number of dual-enrollment students that is served by both the High Schools and colleges. The program that I developed at the College of Eastern Idaho provided academic support for two high schools and this Spring is projected to expand to support to up to five high schools. This presentation will present the model, how to implement it and results demonstrating the impact it had both quantitatively and qualitatively for the College of Eastern Idaho. There is unlimited potential in how your Learning Center or Academic Support Program can better serve the High Schools in your community and most importantly provide an important resource for future students that will some day enroll as full-time students to your institution.
